For the Love of your Companion

At Du Compagnon Veterinary Clinic in Sainte-Marie-de-Beauce, we are committed to the well-being of your faithful companion. Owner of the clinic since 1995, Dr. Élise Coutu is deeply engaged in the community and involved in several regional issues: Chamber of Commerce, fundraising campaign for the new regional medical centre, school board of the high school, Ovascène, etc. You can also hear her on the radio explaining veterinary care in plain language.

Our whole team is well aware that your cat or dog is a member of your family, and we are happy to contribute to building this relationship between the 2 of you; the sacred bond between pet and human. Our philosophy is centered on prevention, but we are also there for you in case of a disease or accident.

We offer a wide range of veterinary products and services and can advise you on vaccines, alternatives to declawing, allergies, and the parasites that can threaten your pet’s well-being. Our team made up of 2 veterinarians and 5 animal health technicians is attentive to your needs and will strive to meet them within your budget to the extent possible.

We can also advise you on high quality food for your companions and on accessories to promote their harmonious behaviour. Weight gain and anxiety in pets are often signs of boredom. In 2001, we have relocated to more spacious premises at Place Marieville, and in 2017, the clinic had a complete make-over. Come and visit us!

Services

Starting off on the “right paw”

Right now, your puppy or kitten is still very young. Their life has just begun! And like humans, the first few months of life play a huge role in getting them started off right for their future. A check up at your vet means they’ll be starting their life off on the “right paw”, so to speak. And this should be something you follow every year. But of course, that very first examination is very important. First, we should be inserting a microchip, for example, so that you and your pet would always be reunited if they get lost. Next, vaccinations and deworming are highly recommended as preventive medicine at its best. No doubt your vet will also talk to you about neutering, diet and the importance of dental hygiene for your pet.

Whenever you consult your vet, it will always be their pleasure to answer any and all of your questions and provide you with their best advice. After all, animals and their wellbeing are their passion!
