Hôpital Vétérinaire Val-Mauricie Inc.

All services under the same roof

Despite their youthful look, our 2 veterinarians, Dr. Isabelle Giguère and Dr. Johanne Pellerin, each boast 20 years of experience. Established in the Shawinigan region for over a decade, they had the pleasure of welcoming a breath of fresh air recently in the form of Dr. Patricia Lemire who joined the team at the Val-Mauricie Veterinary Hospital.

We offer all services under the same roof, at competitive prices. Whether it is preventive treatments for parasites like fleas or ticks, allergy problems, requests for vaccines, medical monitoring for diseases in your dog or cat or simply a case of grooming, we are the clinic vet you need.

A dedicated team

  • Favoring an integrated approach, we also offer alternative medicine for your doggies, that is, osteopathy and acupuncture services.
  • Passionate about animal behaviour, our team even completed the American Fear Free Professionals Certification. With a goal of reducing stress for pets in a clinic setting, this approach creates an environment suited to the needs of pets, especially for cats who can become anxious when taken out of their territory. Moreover, our technicians are specifically trained to explain all the alternatives to cat declawing. Our technicians are specially trained to explain the alternatives to declawing in cats.
  • At the end of life, it is sometimes necessary to consider euthanasia. With respect and empathy, you will be able to witness the departure of your companion. Our entire team will accompany you through this difficult stage.
  • Do not hesitate to consult your veterinarian. He will always be happy to answer all your questions and share his best advice with you. He also makes sure to do the examinations of routines that could improve the quality of life of your companion over the years. Depending on their breed, certain conditions may require more follow-up. And remember that between him and your companion, a relationship of trust has developed over time. Each visit is an opportunity to update their file, as your friend’s needs change over time.
