Get to know Dr. Lucie Hénault, our very own Passionistar!
A commentator for CKOI radio and columnist for Le Cahier blog, TV Hebdo, and Mitsou Magazine; for Dr. Lucie Hénault, being a veterinarian is definitely a passion.
As co-owner of 4 Passionimo locations (the Le Gardeur, Montreal, and Du Nord Veterinary Hospitals, and Lac St-Louis Veterinary Clinic), she is one of the founders of our ever-growing network of family veterinarians. Get to know this team player and dedicated entrepreneur better…
The call of the wild…
Working with animals seems to have been predestined for Dr. Hénault. A native of Lanaudière, she grew up on a vegetable farm where she quickly caught the animal bug.
Studying veterinary medicine was a given for this dedicated woman. She earned a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the Université de Montréal in 2000 where she also received the scholarship for improvement of animal welfare from the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine. In 2016, she added a Master’s in Organizational Development from Laval University to her impressive resumé.
A natural knack for communication
Though she has always at ease with public speaking, it’s thanks to her job as a guide at the Gilles-Villeneuve Museum in the 90s that she learned all the secrets to be an efficient group communicator.
Since then, she made her mark on the public scene. In 2018, our Passionistar began working with a number of media outlets, and she’s just as comfortable in front of the camera, at the microphone or at her keyboard. Always eager to learn more and to share her new knowledge, she is a frequent media guest to explain veterinary care in simple terms.
As an active member of both the Association des médecins vétérinaires du Québec and the Ordre des médecins vétérinaires du Québec, Dr. Hénault is also a guest lecturer at various institutions and conferences/conventions with topics such as customer service, clinical life, and developing leadership skills.
Family comes first
But above everything else, family is her greatest source of pride. Her Passionimo family, of course, but also her fulfilled home life, which includes 2 children, Loïc and Florence, her husband Christian, 2 cats named Toscane and Majesté, as well as her dog Laos, who all live in harmony in the beautiful Laurentian region
